Rubenius Interior Wellbeing is seeking an Art Director to anchor visual clarity, narrative coherence, and design excellence across the organisation and its experiential practice, REDS (Rubenius Experiential Design System).

This is a foundational leadership role, not a support function. The Art Director will operate at the intersection of design thinking, storytelling, technology, and execution, ensuring that internal communication, experiential projects, and external representation speak one clear, consistent, and confident design language.

The role demands deep design judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to translate complex ideas into structured, execution-ready visual narratives—across teams, platforms, and physical environments.

Responsibilities
  • Own visual direction, narrative clarity, and design excellence across Rubenius and REDS
  • Design and manage internal communication systems, translating strategy and complex ideas into clear visual narratives
  • Art-direct experiential and interactive projects, including spatial branding, interactive artworks, and digital–physical installations
  • Develop concepts that integrate space, content, interaction, emotion, and technology
  • Ensure narrative and visual coherence from concept development through execution and delivery
  • Collaborate closely with AV, interactive, digital, and software teams to convert creative intent into execution-ready inputs
  • Bridge the gap between conceptual design and on-ground delivery, ensuring feasibility without dilution of intent
  • Lead, mentor, and elevate the digital art team across graphic, motion, and visual design disciplines
  • Establish and enforce design standards, workflows, and quality benchmarks across the organisation
  • Review creative output, guide improvements, and maintain calm, high-performance delivery
  • Act as a creative multiplier, raising the overall quality of thinking and craft across teams
  • Maintain brand, visual, and narrative consistency across internal communication, client presentations, experiential projects, and external platforms
  • Support award submissions, global PR, and international positioning through strong storytelling and presentation quality
  • Represent design leadership with clarity, confidence, and credibility in internal and client-facing discussions
Qualifications

    • 7–12 years of experience as an Art Director, Design Lead, or Senior Visual Designer
    • Prior experience across internal communication design, experiential/spatial/interactive projects, and cross-functional collaboration with technology and execution teams
    • Background in architecture, interiors, branding, experience design, or digital studios strongly preferred
    • Strong capability in visual storytelling, concept development, presentation design, and narrative building
    • Demonstrated ability in systems thinking, design consistency, and creative leadership
    • Experience leading, mentoring, and elevating creative teams in high-expectation environments
